The area located stretching from above the Kowloon MTR station to Olympia Station is a newly redeveloped area project called Union Square, which is a land reclamation project in West Kowloon. It includes several residential and commercial buildings which began construction in 2000 and will be completed with the International Commerce Center (ICC) in 2010.
Transportation is convenient. It is located on Tung Chung Line of the MTR and Airport Express Airport Express stations. Bus and mini bus service routes are also available. The Western Harbour Crossing tunnel is located nearby providing easy access for private vehicles and taxis.
As it is close to Central and the Airport, many expats prefer to live in this area. Kowloon Station is also favoured for its new developments with stunning harbour and city views. Heat residential developments including The Arch, Sorrento, The Waterfront, The Cullinan, The Harbourside.
The tallest building in Hong Kong will be The International Commerce Centre (ICC) which is located in Kowloon Station. It will house major multi-national corporations and the Ritz Carlton (relocated from its old building in Central) the tallest hotel lobby in the world.
“The Elements” Shopping mall is located just below ICC and provides a high-end shopping experience. Modern shopping arcade comprise an ice skating rink, movie theatre, an abundance of parking, and high fashion shops. Expats choose to locate to the area because of the close proximity of all major retail needs. It is convenient and comfortable.
