Service Providers

Basic residential telephone connection is provided for a flat rate. There is a one-time installation fee. Local landline calls are free. There are fives fixed line & broadband Internet providers in Hong Kong. Execpt PCCW-HKT, anothers providers are new operators after market open, their price may be cheaper. But the coverage and service quality will have some differient.

International Direct Dialing (IDD)

charge on request. IDD calls can be made from public phones advertising that service or from Creditcardphone (call 10010 for locations). Phonecards are issued in denominations of $50, $100, $200, $300 and $500.

There are over 20 IDD service providers in Hong Kong, use any providors of them after registed. But you perfer to check their price regularly, because after promotion period, the price will be different.

Other IDD services include:

Global Calling Card enables the user, by means of a personal PIN number, to make international calls from Hong Kong and abroad.

OneCall personal numbering offers options of up to four hunting numbers, and Duplex Ringing gives two numbers and two different ringing tones to one line, allowing the subscriber to differentiate the type of call.

Broadband Internet Service

The telephone operators also provide internet connecting service as well. As usual, 18 months contract is very comment in HK, so you should ask the detail of contract clearly. Especially the reloation fee and termination processure.

Pay TV Services

There are mainly 4 Pay TV operators in HK, including PCCW & I-cable. Which are providing some different channels, such as ESPN & Star sport are only in PCCW-now TV.

Mobile Phones

There are mainly 5 mobile service operators in HK, including PCCW, 3, CSL, Smartone, China Mobile. Offering Voice, 3G and 4G LTE plans.
